Flower Tips for Warm Weather Outdoor Events

Weather is Warming Up for Outdoor Events!

Graduation Parties, Bridal Showers and Weddings, to name a few...

Certain Flowers hold up in Warmer Weather better than others. Here's are some Tips for Planning an Outdoor Party with Flowers.

Outdoor Party Tips

1) Shade, Shade, Shade - flowers need to be out of direct sunlight and heat. If using cut flowers in vases as Table Centerpieces, like picture above, tables should be under a tent or canopy. PS: Balloons need Shade, too.

2) Water, Water, Water - Make sure there is always plenty of water in the vases. Cut Flowers will drink furiously in heat.

3) Use Flowers that are Heat Tolerant - there are flowers that hold up in the heat better than others. Some flowers, such as Peonies, Roses and most hydrangea should not be used (see list of heat tolerant flowers below).

Heat Tolerant Flowers

Gerbera Daisies, Mums, Spray Roses, Sunflowers, Carnations, Iris, Alstroemeria, Mini Green Hydrangea and any Greenery work well.
