Why You Should Plant Hellebores.

Hellebores are one of the best Perennnials ever!

The best time to plant them is NOW (early March)! You can pick them up at your local Garden Center. They bloom late winter/early spring...just when you are looking for new life...a pick-me-up from the drearies! They love shade and are not difficult to grow; they tolerate most weather and soil conditions. They come in many colors and are also deer resistant!

We have them planted in our store window boxes. They do great in containers or the ground. One of the best things about them and why we love them so much is that they provide a much-needed nectar and pollen source for honey bees!
